At this point in time, we have closed registration for the live in-person event, but if you are interested in the virtual option and have not already registered, please register below.

"Due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases, a virtual option for AIA and CSI’s January 19th Event on the 2018 IBC Code updates will be made available.  The presentation will be recorded on site at Homewood Suites during the live event and uploaded 7 days later to our video platform. Registrants will receive a private web link that gives them access to the video for a period of 1-month.  During this 1-month period, registrants will have the ability to pause and start the presentation whenever they choose and rewatch the video however many times they like.  After the 1-month period, the private link will no longer be available.    

There will not be a difference in price for those that attend in person and those choosing only the virtual option due to prior commitments made with the venue.  The price will remain at $35 for AIA/CSI members and $55 for non-members.

At this point in time, we have closed registration for the live in-person event, but if you are interested in the virtual option and have not already registered, please register below and you will receive the link to the presentation within 7 days after the event.  If you already registered and originally planned to attend the in-person event but no longer feel comfortable attending now due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases, you will also be sent the video link and have access to that link for the course of 1 month.  ALL participants that have registered regardless of attending in person or the virtual option, will receive this link. 

The in person-live event will follow the current CDC Guidelines."

On February 14, 2022, updates to Pennsylvania’s Uniform Construction Code will be implemented. In addition, a new Accessibility Standard will be adopted on January 1, 2022. As a result, there will be impacts and modifications to the construction codes. Join the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Eastern PA Chapter and Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Lehigh Valley for a joint meeting to learn about these changes. An interactive presentation will be led by Matt Walter, the Vice-President of Barry Isett & Associates Public Division and a Master Code Professional with nearly three decades of experience in Code Inspection and Plan Review. 

Learning objectives:

1. Understand the code adoption process in Pennsylvania.
2. Identify the ICC construction codes being adopted in 2022 in Pennsylvania.
3. Review the new code adoption dates, grace-periods and drop-dead dates for utilization of the 2015 ICC Codes.
4. Identify the significant changes to the International Building Code and accessibility standards.
