COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Each preservation project has two questions: What do we have? and What should we do with it?
Through project case studies we will evaluate the use of a historic paint investigation and plaster survey and how, through the investigative process, the restoration of decorative finishes and the preservation of original plaster surfaces were implemented.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Identify the four constituents of a paint study.
2. Understand the use of on site exposures and scientific analysis.
3. Identify the three parts of a plaster survey.
4. Understand the various methods of plaster reinforcement and their appropriate use.
