The Architecture of Fear - Lincoln Mill Haunted House
What happens when architecture meets immersive storytelling in one of Philadelphia’s historic textile mills?
Jared Bilsak, a licensed architect at Breslin Architects in Allentown, PA, is also the cofounder, operator, and architect of Lincoln Mill Haunted House in Manayunk, Philadelphia, alongside his partner Brian Corcodilos. Now entering its fifth season, Lincoln Mill has quickly become one of the region’s fastest-growing immersive horror attractions.
The event will begin at Manayunk Brewing Company, located next door to Lincoln Mill Haunted House, where Jared will present on how Lincoln Mill came to life in 2022, emerging from the devastation of Hurricane Ida. He will share how a damaged historic textile mill was transformed into a high-intensity, story-driven attraction, and break down the “architecture of fear”—how space, lighting, materials, and circulation are designed to influence human emotion and create unforgettable experiences.
Following the presentation, attendees will head next door for a walkthrough of the attraction with all special effects activated. After the walkthrough, attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at key backstage areas, including the make-up and costume room.
Dinner options:
- Margarita Artisan Flat
- Honey Mustard Chicken
